Online banking customers may be interested to know that Yorkshire Building Society has unveiled two new digital services.
Firstly, people looking to boost their investments portfolio will be able to access a share-dealing system that enables people to buy and sell shares over a web connection.
Secondly, the financial services provider has developed a property conveyancing service, which is open to people looking to buy, sell or find a remortgage product.
David Jackson, head of e-commerce at the financial services provider, explained why the developments were good news for online banking aficionados.
"We are constantly looking to add value to the society's online offerings and the new services we are offering today can potentially save hundreds of pounds and a lot of time," he said.
In related virtual banking news, Halifax recently unveiled its revised online banking offering.
The website incorporates a range of new features, including enabling people with certain current accounts to extend their overdraft limit online.
While announcing the revamped online banking service, Shoomon Perry, head of e-commerce at Halifax, said that 5.5 million people were currently registered with the virtual banking portal.
