NatWest's personal banking customers in London would soon benefit from a decision by the bank to open 30 branches in London on Saturdays.
This decision was taken in response to feedback from NatWest's personal banking customers in London who still value a face-to-face relationship with the bank and welcome the opportunity to visit their branch on a Saturday.
"At a time when some promote the virtues of branchless banking, our customers in London, as elsewhere, are telling us that they value the service NatWest offers them on the high street," said Paulette Rowe, NatWest's managing director.
The bank's branches in Brixton, Croydon High Street and Regent Street are some of the branches that will be providing financial services between 9.30 and 15.30 on Saturdays.
A number of other branches would open from 9.30 to 13.00, like those in Baker Street, Chelsea and Paddington.
These longer business hours form part of a five-year plan to enhance personal banking for NatWest's London customers.
In the last five years, the bank has opened a new branch in Bethnal Green, recruited new customer advisers into branches and started a branch refurbishment programme.
NatWest is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, the second largest bank by market capitalisation in the UK and in Europe and ranking fifth in the world.
NatWest offers personal banking, business banking, internet banking, mortgages, personal loans, business loans and a host of other financial services.
