HSBC has been named the best internet banking option for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Global Finance magazine, which surveys the various internet banking options available, awarded HSBC the Best Corporate/Institutional Bank in the UK.
Furthermore, the bank claimed that Moneyfacts believes it to offer the most extensive range of online banking services of all high street banks.
HSBC's internet banking option enables business users to print statements, view transactions, create, amend and cancel standing orders, cancel cheques and direct debits, and make transfers between accounts.
Alan Keir, HSBC's head of commercial banking in Europe, claimed that internet banking will form a "cornerstone" of the bank's attempts to "respond to the changing needs of 21st century businesses".
"These no longer require traditional branches for all their banking needs. With 51 per cent of Britain's 1.7 million small to medium-sized enterprises expected to bank direct by 2010, demand for internet banking is clear and we're leading the way."
HSBC offers a range of financial services to businesses, including business insurance, savings and pensions.
