HSBC has launched new payment methods via its business internet banking service.
The new internet banking option enables customers to make Chaps and Swift payments, which can be used to make online transactions both within and outside the UK.
More than 780,000 payments can be made each year via the internet banking service, HSBC notes.
Since the new internet banking system's inception this month, the bank claims to have handled £1.1 million, in 15 different currencies.
Additionally, HSBC states that the new payment methods could save businesses £6 per transaction, as well as cutting the time needed to make payments.
Alan Keir, head of commercial banking, Europe, said: "By removing the manual interaction previously required to make these payments, we're also freeing up more time of the 760 business specialists we have on the high street and the growing network of dedicated staff in our commercial and corporate centres across the UK."
HSBC is one of the world's largest financial services providers, claiming to have just under 10,000 offices in 76 countries.
